Spirit had two home games this past weekend.  First was against the St. Peter's Spirit on Saturday.  The game was back and forth with both teams scoring a power play goal.  However in the end about half way through the third we scored to take the lead for good and came away with a 4-3 win. 

The Sunday game against Twin Bridges was the tale of 3 different games.  The first period was dominated by us as we took a 2-0 lead.  The second period was dominated by them as they scored four goals and led 4-2 after two periods.  Then in the third period things swung back our way as we scored three goals with the game winner coming with less than a minute to go in the game. 

I was really impressed with the way our boys hung in there and battled back after going down by two goals in both of those games.  Their battling back paid off as they earned two hard fought wins. 

Gavin Loven earned the hard hat this week as he got both of the game winning goals for this weekend.  Great Job, Gavin, we needed those.
