First Games Back After Christmas Break

After a two week layoff during the Christmas Holidays with no practices, we resumed playing hockey with a three game road trip.  The team came out struggled through a 2-0 win over Chesterfield as we shook off the extra holiday cookies.  Game two on Saturday against Decatur proved to be our nemesis once again.  We had our worst lost and most penalties of the season as we fell to Decatur 8-3.  However, once again the team rebounded on Sunday morning.  Although we lost, the team played well in their first full checking game, due to a severe lack of officiating.  Both teams played a physical game on Sunday in game 2 of a home and home series against Decatur.  With the goalie pulled we had some chances to tie late in the game, but unfortunately gave up an empty netter.

Matty Z was awarded the Hard Hat for the weekend.  He had a big goal in Sunday's game and worked hard on both offense and defense all weekend long.  Great job, Matthew!
