It's a Sweep

Our first home games of the season resulted in an undefeated three game homestand.  We played a league game against the Rockets on Saturday and then a couple practice games against Tulsa on Sunday.  On a down side we had two players sidelined with "upper body" injuries.  On the up side, the team had nine different players score goals over the weekend as the lineups got switched around a bit.  In fact, the lineup was switched around so much that Zahn played goal for the first time in a couple years and even posted a win.  Once again we scored short handed in two different games making a total of four for the season.  In our last game of the weekend, the boys did a really good job of following the game plan of staying spread out and passing the puck.

Wyatt was the winner of the Hard Hat this weekend.  He had 3 goals and 3 assists and was a plus 5 over the weekend.  He worked hard on both offense and defense this weekend and even played through a bit of a cold.  Good job, Wyatt.  Sorry I forgot to take a photo for this article.

Thank you to Michelle for organizing lunch for Sunday's games and providing cupcakes in the locker room after the game.  Also Thank you to Sharice for the hockey puck Christmas ornaments for each of the players. Thank you to Shawna for taking some awesome pictures. One last Thank you to all the parents who helped out on the scoreboard and penalty box and sound system.  I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
