A Goalie's Perspective

This weekend our team had three games. Our first game was against St. Peters. We were playing in our end half of the game. At the very end of the game we managed to get a goal. We lost three to one.

The second game we played against Twin Bridges. We came out and got all our goals in the first and second periods. We had good passes and shots. We were having a good lead. But they came back. We tied that game.

The last game we played against the A2 Meramec team. It was a friendly game. We changed up the lines but that didn’t stop us. We put our foot on the throttle and didn’t let up. That game we won three For zero. Over all we had a good weekend!!

Coaches Note:  The team played well all weekend long.  We had some penalty troubles in the game against St. Peter's giving up two power play goals which was the difference in the game.  For the rest of the weekend we did much better at staying out of the box and thus were able to score more goals.  Nicholas, who had a birthday earlier in the week, was awarded the hard hat this weekend for his continued strong play on defense.  He was also able to contribute offensively this week with a couple of assists.  Great job Nickel.
