We were back in action with three home games to resume the season after a two week break for the holidays.  I wasn't sure how the team would look after not having practice for a couple weeks, but they game out skating hard and fast and even had good endurance for all three games.  I thought that they played very well defensively and overall looked pretty good and played hard.  Although the scores may not have reflected it, all three games were quite close and could have gone either way.  As it turned out, we ended up splitting with Chesterfield on Saturday and losing on Sunday to St. Peter's for a 1-2 weekend.  The homestand continues as the Meramec Sharks come to town for two next weekend.

I selected Christian as the Hard Hat recipient for this past weekend.  Not only did he play solid defensively for all three games, but also had a hat trick in the first game against Chesterfield.  Great job, Christian.  Sorry I forgot to take your picture for the website after the game and then forgot again at practice last night.  Fortunately, we all know what you look like.
