Mathew’s 2 goal and 3 point game against the Lady Blues helped turned around a weekend of lack luster play by the team and lead his team to a big victory.  He picked a good time to tally his first 2 goals of the season and was on the ice for all 6 of the goals scored in the game.  He also helped keep the Lady Blues off the from getting into the game, by only allowing the Lady Blues one goal while he was on the ice.  These all combined to earn him player of the week honors.  Hopefully he and his teammates can carry this momentum into the final, big weekend of regular season play and the playoffs.
